Lifted Lexus TX500h Build | The Ultimate Luxury SUV Transformation by Auto Trim Restyling in St. Louis

When Lexus introduced the TX500h F SPORT Performance, they created one of the most impressive three-row luxury SUVs on the market. With its powerful hybrid drivetrain, sport-tuned suspension, upgraded brakes, and premium interior, the TX500h already stands apart from the standard TX lineup. But for our team at Auto Trim Restyling in St. Louis, “factory” is just the starting point.

This customer wanted a Lexus TX500h that would turn heads everywhere it went while still being comfortable enough for daily driving and family road trips. The result is one of our favorite Lexus TX builds to date—a Wind Chill Pearl Lexus TX500h that combines luxury, capability, and aggressive styling into one incredible package.

Starting With the Right Platform

Unlike the Lexus TX350, the TX500h F SPORT Performance comes equipped with a more powerful hybrid powertrain, upgraded braking system, sport seats, performance-inspired styling, and suspension enhancements from the factory. It’s already an outstanding SUV, which made it the perfect platform for a premium custom build. The beautiful Wind Chill Pearl paint provided the perfect canvas for a clean, sophisticated look while allowing the black accents throughout the build to really stand out.

A 2" Lift That Looks Like it Could've Been Factory

One of the first upgrades was installing a 2-inch Torq Engineering Lift Kit.

The additional ride height completely changes the personality of the vehicle. Instead of looking like a traditional luxury crossover, the TX500h now has the commanding stance that many owners are looking for, while also providing additional ground clearance for gravel roads, campsites, snow, and everyday driving.

One of the things we like most about the Torq Engineering system is that it maintains excellent road manners while giving the vehicle a much more aggressive appearance. The lift looks intentional—almost like something Lexus could have offered from the factory.

Our Biggest Lexus TX Custom Wheel & Tire Package

No lifted SUV is complete without the right wheel and tire combination.

For this build, we installed our largest Lexus TX wheel and tire package to date:

22-inch Asanti Dynasty wheels
285/45R22XL Nitto Terra Grappler G3 all-terrain tires

The larger footprint fills the wheel wells perfectly after the lift, giving the SUV a muscular stance without appearing oversized. The Nitto Terra Grappler was the perfect pair for these 22s, as they are still a true All-Terrain tire for a quiet ride to keep the interior as quiet as a luxury SUV should be.

The Perfect Tuxedo Look

The entire roof was wrapped in Gloss Black, creating what’s commonly referred to as a “tuxedo roof” or “Rover roof” appearance. This subtle modification completely changes the profile of the SUV by visually lowering the roofline while adding contrast against the Wind Chill Pearl paint.

It’s a clean, timeless look that resembles many high-end European luxury SUVs and really complements the TX’s body lines.

To finish everything off, we also blacked out several exterior badges and emblems, eliminating unnecessary chrome and tying the entire design together. These small details often make the biggest difference, creating a more cohesive factory-plus appearance.

Luxury Meets Adventure

One of the things we love most about this build is that it doesn’t sacrifice what makes the Lexus TX500h such an incredible vehicle.

It still offers the quiet cabin, premium technology, comfortable seating, and the driving experience Lexus owners expect. At the same time, the lifted suspension, larger wheel and tire package, and exterior styling upgrades give it a completely different personality, but without competing with its GX and LX big brothers.
